GTA 6 pre-orders are open at the Rockstar Store and global retailers. What code-in-box is, UK prices reported by Which?, and what to check before you pay.

The short answer

Take-Two says GTA 6 is on sale at the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Store and global retailers and storefronts. Confirmed A physical copy is a box with a download code and no disc, available from November 12, 2026. Confirmed Retailers set their own prices, cancellation terms and delivery, so read each store's own policy before paying.

Rockstar Games Store

The Rockstar Games Store page shows a physical code-in-box listing and says no disc is included. Confirmed It showed 79.99 euros on the version we opened, so prices depend on your region. Confirmed

  • Pre-load begins November 12, 2026. Confirmed
  • Rockstar's support page says cancellation of a physical pre-order bought on the Rockstar Store goes through its payment partner. Unconfirmed
  • The store's refund page says refunds on physical goods apply only if the item was not received, and a 14-day withdrawal right applies in the EEA and UK, with exceptions for unsealed software. Unconfirmed

UK retailers

Which? lists prices for the Standard Edition from these stores. They are a snapshot, not a guarantee, and they may have changed. Unconfirmed

The official UK Standard price is 69.99 pounds, per press coverage of the pre-order launch. Unconfirmed Which? says it did not find cancellation or price-match terms for individual retailers, and neither did we. Check each retailer's help page before you pay.

US retailers

Take-Two names "global retailers" and does not list US chains. Confirmed We could not open individual US retailer listings, so we make no price or policy claim for them. The US price is $79.99 for Standard on the platform stores. Confirmed Confirm everything on the retailer's own site.

Pre-order at a retailer

  1. Pick a retailer you already trust. Avoid unknown key sellers.
  2. Check the listing says PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, Standard Edition, and code in box.
  3. Look for the release or shipping date. It should say November 12, 2026 for the code, with the game launching November 19.
  4. Read the retailer's own cancellation and refund page, and when it charges you.
  5. After the code arrives, redeem it on your console account. Match your PlayStation account region if you use PlayStation.
  6. Pre-load from November 12 once the code is redeemed.

Region reminder

Rockstar says PlayStation codes are tied to region groups that must match your account, and Xbox codes are not region-locked. Unconfirmed Codes bought in a different region may not redeem.
