GTA 6 is not out until November 19, 2026, so any site offering a free download, early access, a beta or a mobile APK is a scam. Confirmed The only way to get the game is a pre-order or purchase through an official store. Confirmed

What is official

Take-Two says pre-orders run through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Store and retailers. Confirmed Pre-load starts November 12, 2026 for digital pre-orders. Confirmed Rockstar's site lists only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and no PC, Android or iOS version. Confirmed See platforms and PC status.

Common GTA 6 scams

  • "Free download" and "free codes". There is no free copy. The pages ask for a survey, a login or a "verification" download. Confirmed
  • "Early access" and "VIP beta". Malwarebytes reported fake early-access sites asking for about $250 in cryptocurrency, which cannot be reversed. Unconfirmed Rockstar offers pre-orders, not early access. Confirmed
  • Fake mobile and APK files. Rockstar has announced no mobile version, so a "GTA 6 APK" is not from Rockstar. Treat it as malware bait. Confirmed
  • Fake pre-order pages. They copy the look of a store but sit on a different domain. Some sell bonus items or "keys" below the real price.
  • Phishing. Emails or messages claiming to be from Rockstar, PlayStation or Xbox that ask for a password or send you to a login page. Rockstar's support page tells players to check email domains and links before entering account details, and not to download software from third-party sources. Unconfirmed
  • Cheat and currency sellers. Anyone selling GTA 6 cheat codes or money before release is lying. See our cheats status guide.
