GTA 6 mods and PCmodding: what is known
GTA 6 mods are not possible yet. It launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox only, PC is not announced, and Rockstar's mod rules apply.

You cannot mod GTA 6 yet, and no PC version is announced. Confirmed The game launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, which do not support PC-style mods. Confirmed Any "GTA 6 mod" you can download today is fake, or a GTA 5 mod using the name.
Rockstar's mod rules
Inven Global reports Rockstar published mod guidelines in September 2026 that apply to all its titles, including GTA 6. Unconfirmed MP1st dates the update September 21; Inven Global dates it September 10, so we say only September.
Both outlets report these main points. Unconfirmed
- Multiplayer modding is limited to Rockstar's licensed Creator Platform, or cases Rockstar licenses directly.
- Mods may not alter or extend official storylines, missions or characters.
- Content from different Rockstar games may not be combined or imported.
- Cheat menus that affect online services are banned, per Inven Global.
- Selling mods is only allowed through the Creator Platform.

What is not announced
GTA BOOM lists the open questions: anti-tamper protection, official tools, single-player mod tolerance and revenue models. It also says a PC launch in February 2027 is only a prediction. Estimate See GTA 6 PC release date.

Take-down notices
Take-Two has removed fan content tied to unreleased GTA material. TweakTown reported a copyright strike against a GTA 5 FiveM mod that added a GTA 6 map built from leaked material. Unconfirmed That is a reason not to build or share leak-based mods.

Stay safe
- Do not download anything claiming to be GTA 6, a beta or a "leak".
- Ignore trainers and cheat tools for a game that is not released.
- Use only the official PlayStation, Xbox and Rockstar stores.
- Keep your antivirus updated. Huntress says Windows Defender detects this bundle. Unconfirmed
- If you ran one, disconnect, change passwords, turn on two-factor sign-in and reinstall the system.
